What a week and a half....

Image
Well, wasn't that fun?! I have been sick for the last week and half almost two weeks, and it finally went away over this past weekend so that I could enjoy my life/pregnancy again. Yeah, what a sunny moment. Today is Monday, welcome back to the work week, the busy week, the week where there is always so much to do and never enough time to get it done, and now lets throw in a sick Jonathan. :( I called his doctor and they are having me bring him in. Apparently mono has been going around, and so they want to make sure it is not that. I really hope it is not, I do not even know what that would mean for me while pregnant! But hey, a look on the bright side, I am down to 98 days until my due date! Holy wow! Seems so close. We are also in the process of planning Mandie's birthday party. At her request it will be a Halloween themed party, so we should have loads of fun making creepy food and scary (well scary to a 5 yr. old) decorations! That is what we will be busy with

Just another rainy day....

I suppose I will back track a bit, and start with yesterday. I had my second appointment with Dr. Balaskas, the Maternal-Fetal Specialist. My blood pressure was 91/52 (I think that was what she said), baby girls heartbeat was 151 bpm, and she still looks great! The better news, is that there is no change to my cervix. I am still not dilating yet, and that is exactly what we want to hear. While things are going great, he wants to see me again in 2 weeks which of course has me wondering, what is he not telling me.... I have to assume though that really it boils down to the fact that it was during this time frame (I am 24 1/2 weeks) that things started to drastically change with all of my kids. Jonathan I was 2 cm dilated from 25 weeks to his birth, and same went for Evan. Mandie was the only one that I was not dilated at that point, so we are hoping that this pregnancy goes like Mandie's. As for today, it is indeed another rainy Saturday. We were hoping to go to the Grand

We basically survived....

The first week of school for the children has officially come and gone! Jonathan started 5th grade, and is quite excited about it. He has the same teacher as last year so he knows what to expect from her so that is nice for him. His first day he came home with a scarab beetle to disect. I was shocked to find him coming home with such an assignment on the first day, but come to find out it was his own thought to bring it home, not his teachers. Evan has started 2nd grade, and was at first not thrilled because he did not get the teacher he wanted, but alas has come to appreciate and even be happy to be in her class. He has come home with a couple of homework assignments of Math which he loves. They have gone on a walk around the school learning about the flowers (habitats) that are in the area and what is growing there. They found butterflies, and grass hoppers! It was quite an exciting walk. Mandie started kindergarten. I was a bit worried as to how this woul

The final hooray!

So Labor Day weekend starts today! It is the unofficial/official last weekend of summer. I can not believe that it is over, and the children are starting school in a few short days. Wow! We have no real plans for the weekend. I would like to spend one day getting the house clean again; it seems that since I have started school this week and Jon was busy with phone interviews and computer tests for a potential job that things have gotten a bit out of hand. So, I think Saturday will be 'reclaiming the clean' in our house day. :) Yes, I did also state that Jon had an interview... it seems like he may have gotten the job too. I do not know too many of the details, but I do know it is a work from home, over the phone type of job. So we will have to get a land line phone for him. I too have also started classes again at Grand Valley. Full time, 12 credits all English! Overload semester, I am sure. Yet, I am looking forward to it, the first week went well, and I have
